Abstract

|
The efficacy of tinidazole in the treatment of trichomonas vaginalis vaginitis was investigated in a blind study on 52 women who had subjective symptoms and positive smear for the trichomonas vaginitis.
52 women treated with 2.25g. tinidazole given over a period of five days in dosage of three tablets daily were produced about 91 per cent cures, and side effects to the drug were limited to mild gastrointestinal troubles and headache, but were not serious and toxicities also were obscured.
